My father is 74, about 3 weeks ago we were told he has Prostate Cancer stage 4.
DRE performed by urology: showed hard nodular prostate & hard palpable bladder mass. PSA 124 on 30/1 down to 89.2 31/1. CT TAP showed suspicion of bladder malignancy. Patient is now under
flexible sigmoidoscopy, will urology have arranged.

Nodular prostate encroaching on the trigone Taterat U was seen but the right was not identified
Enlarged occlusive prostate
Small Sub Centimeter lesion on the left mostend at ea wal which is more likely to be catheten reaction iF not a cla blader lesion- would reco avoid an epeat text of this lesion in about 6-3 weeks.
Given he is not very fit, would be apt to avoid an unnecessary GA and check to assess for resolution of this lesion in the first instance.

• -Multiple bilateral renal cysts.
• Bilateral mild hydronephrosis and hydroureter.
• Thickening of the posterior bladder wall - may warrant further investigation to better characterise the bladder and bladder wall. - suspected bladder malignancy.
• hyperdense/sclerotic lesions noted of T6, T7, 11, L1 and L2 and scapula deposits.
• -bilateral lower lobe consolidation & pleural effusion, likely infective nature.
Bone scan -
There are extensive foci of increased uptake involving the ribs spine pelvis and left proximal femur.
These are compatible with metastasis. Some of these demonstrate sclerosis on CT images.
Metastasis also seen in relation to the right glenoid and left proximal humerus medially.
Bilateral hydronephrosis and hydroureter again demonstrated.
Bilateral pleural effusions have deteriorated.
Upper abdominal lymphadenopathy noted. Bilateral pelvic lymph nodes also noted.
He is going for a biopsy today and another procedure to check his bladder. He is bed bound with a long term catheter. The urologist said apart from Hormone injections nothing can be done.
Im dying inside, not sure what to do. He is my world.
wanted to know if anyone else knew someone with this cancer?
Am I overreacting and overthinking?
