I lost me mammy on 04/01/24 aged 88, I sat with her for 5 nights and 5 days, i watched her slowly pass away with the sound of the death rattle in me ears, and then take her last breathes, it's been haunting me since, I'm numb and don't feel anything since she passed i havn't cried....I feel empty and lonely even thou i have family around me....

So sorry for your loss @HunnyKinz. It sounds like you are still in shock.
I would say try not to put any pressure on yourself to 'feel' anything or 'be' a certain way. Give yourself time. Be kind to yourself. It will hit you in waves. 💐

Im so sorry, that’s heartbreaking 💐

Do talk to your family, share your pain.

There are no rules here. But you were there for her. It was her time. She'd not want this heartbreak for you. Can you imagine how devastated she'd have been if the roles were reversed? We are supposed to go before our children. She had a long life and left it with her child by her side. Nothing better...

im so sorry for your loss. If it’s any help I felt similar, I almost had to tell myself that it was okay to cry and let it out, like give myself permission. And don’t worry the traumatic bits will start to fade, and be replaced with happy memories. It takes time, but it happens 🌷 xx
