How do you deal with it? NC
My dad went for an op recently as a day case, was an afternoon slow and was being fucking awkward about it. He got there at 12 and by 3pm waiting was about to leave
Now he went to the GP yesterday (2 weeks after the op) ended up in hospital and has discharged himself after refusing to wait. I got this message ARGH
I know part of it is because of his old job but he cannot sit still, won't rest and hates waiting about and I'm "that's just how it is, you NEED to wait and FFS stop telling staff what to do!"
went to docs he checked me out as I had shortness of breath and sweating, said my blood pressure was high and my heart rate was fast, sent me to hospital emergency day care department, 4.30 they took bloods , blood pressure,ecg, blood oxygen, said I had to wait two hours for blood results, results back by 7pm, they said a doctor had to read results, several people in there old some in pain been in there since before 3pm, a doctor arrived told he would read results, he wandered around chatting to staff, I asked if he had seen my bloods, no she said I had to wait, he continued to chat to staff, at 9pm I told them I was going home and if he got around to seeing my results and there was anything wrong to give me a call or ask him to attend to the lady in pain and speak to the other patients instead of leaning on desk chatting and laughing with staff. I called a taxi and went home £32 in taxis, they called me to say I should come back for an X-ray I asked if there was anything wrong on my bloods and she said he hadn’t seen them yet, so I said I’m not coming back as he hadn’t seen them and you made no mention of x-ray until now, I said I would come back today she said I would have to go back to my doctor and start the process again! What a joke our NHS is, the amount of staff just standing around
