Can anyone tell me if there are any benefits my dad and his partner are likely entitled to ? They are in their 70s and neither in great health. Struggle to afford basic things. Dad is diabetic which has led to problems with his legs, getting around etc etc, he can’t hear when anyone rings his landline despite hearing aids and his partner also diabetic has recently had a stroke. Dad can still drive and has a blue badge.
i want to help and point him in the right direction if there is money he is entitled to and not claiming.
thanks.

If he's not already recovering a disability benef it then he should claim Attendance Allowance. They could also make an application for Pension credit.

Ae either of them getting PIP? Or Carer's Allowance?

PIP is for working age, isn’t it? Carer’s allowance can’t be paid at the same time as State Pension and is less than State Pension, so you wouldn’t take it in preference unless your state pension allowance was very low because uou had very few NI payments.

Attendance Allowance isn’t means tested.

Thanks , they aren’t receiving any benefits at the moment.
