Can someone tell me if the adult safe guarding team is brought into an elderly persons home because of verbal behavior by her partner what is going to happen going forward

We had this with a DD, and she was banned from visiting.

Sorry, ignore that, I thought you were talking about a care home.

A lot will depend on whether the victim has mental capacity. If they are deemed to have capacity they will be given options and sources of support but left to make the decision about if they/the partner stays.

If they haven't got mental capacity it's a bit different, they may look to remove the victim from the home, sometimes it may go to court to decide what's in their best interest.

Sadly this happened to my DF's DM who was abused by her "D"H and his DD. They didn't protect her at all.

They will ask her what she wants to happen

They will consider if she has capacity to keep herself safe from harm

They may complete something called a DASH risk assessment and it should be the one specifically for older adults.

If they feel the risks can't be managed without further plans being made then they may hold one or more safeguarding meetings with everyone who is involved with her (and her as well if she wants to attend) to discuss the risks and put a safeguarding risk management plan in place.

There will probably be an offer of referral to other services such as domestic violence services and an offer of a care act assessment.

if they feel a criminal act might have occurred they will most likely involve the police in the safeguarding process.

If the DASH RIC score is high it might be referred to MARAC and heard there. This could mean police involvement.
