I'm looking for a tracker for my dad's keyring as he likes to go for walks but we can't trust him to safely do this anymore.

I've seen a few options, most with monthly subscriptions.

Can anyone recommend a company they've been happy with?

I use Apple Airtags at the moment (only works on iPhone) but have also used Tile trackers before, which can work on any phones through an app. They're both available on Amazon and about £30.

Does he reliably carry his phone? Find friends is very accurate.

Does he live alone? DMIL had vascular Dementia and lived with DFIL. He kept the door locked so that she had to use her own keys to get out which meant that she had the tracker with her. Obviously this has problems though as they can just leave the keys in the door and walk out.

Have you registered him with the Herbert Protocol if he's beginning to wonder and I'd fill on the This is Me and keep it on your phone in case he has a sudden Hospital admission.

We used a Yepzon tracker for my Mum which you can buy from Amazon. Mum would always take her keys with her so the tracker was attached to them.
There was an annual subscription and we used a mobile app to track where she was when she went out.
Only stopped using it as she's now in a nursing home.

My dad doesn't live alone but does keep requesting that he goes for walks alone. The good thing is that he always takes his key, so I'm going for a key chain tracker, I think.

Apple Air tags, etc, just wouldn't have the range I need.

He doesn't have a phone unfortunately, no. Good shout though.
