Accessible holidays

My dad has significant mobility issues but is looking for a short, accessible weekend break for him and a friend. The ideal would be somewhere in the northwest of England or north Wales. I've been looking on usual holiday cottage sites but they don't seem to be overly accessible. His main needs would be something that is ground floor, wet room and preferably lots of grab rails. Doesn't have a big budget either.

If anyone knows of any holiday homes or hotels or anything like that, would love to hear.

They do exist - a friend husband had MND and they did find a couple of lovely accessible cottages. Perhaps try asking Age UK?

I know that Travelodge do have accessible rooms.

Euan’s Guide is a website a bit like trip advisor for travellers with disabilities. We use it quite a lot and there are quite a few self catering places.

Premier inn accessible rooms are good too
