Is there such a thing?
My parents are both 90 and desperate to stay independent and as mobile as possible.
Their current one is out of the Ark but they don’t need an iPhone. Something in between ideally.
Many thanks x

Have a look at doro

Oh god! We’ve been through this with both my MIL and my mum. Do they want smartphones? We took my dm to Tesco and they sorted her out with a decent phone - I, however, felt ready to throw myself off the nearest bridge when we left the shop!!!

Try the Doro range as @thesandwich says. They have bar phones and a smart phone. I tried very hard with my parent to get them to use a touch screen. They are unable to swipe either on a phone or tablet. They can just about make a call from their Doro bar phone after I set it up. A plus is the incredibly long time it lasts before needing to be charged. Also the large rubber number pads, relatively large screen and fairly modest price tag. This is the model I bought them to use with a 1p mobile sim: www.amazon.co.uk/Doro-Unlocked-Mobile-Phone-Seniors/dp/B075FYP5P2/ref=asc_df_B075FYP5P2/?hvlocphy=9046503&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=311059984004&hvpone&hvlocint&hvpos&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-562598251627&hvrand=12171838764858793354

Unable to swipe on a touchscreen - we have had this issue too. I dont understand what the problem is… is it that they can’t judge how hard/ softly to press, or is it something to do with the texture of their skin as they get older (?(drier? I read that somewhere). Baffled - any insights?

If they use an iPad it might be easier for them to use an iPhone, doesn't have to be new as you can get some great refurbished ones.
