Any advice/tips for PCR test

I have to take my dad for a PCR test today before he goes into respite care. They need him to have a negative PCR before he goes (understandably). He has fairly advanced Alzheimer’s disease and won’t really understand what’s happening (although obviously we will try to explain). I’ve just done my LFT in front of him and explained that he’s going to be having his later and showed him what to do, in the hope that he will vaguely remember. I’ve booked a drive through site and my sister is coming too. Any tips/advice? Thanks

My mum has early dementia and when she had to have a PCR test before being transferred between hospitals I got the nurse who was doing the test to give her a mirror so she could see that her mouth wasn't wide open.
