Hello wise MNs, my elderly Father lives in Australia and due to the virus I have not been able to see him for some time. So he has decided today, he wants to install messenger to chat to me & other family members. I have tried explaining to him on the phone what to do, he realizes he needs Facebook which he thinks he has installed. It is getting quite frustrating so I wondered if anyone had simple step by step instructions to help him? Thanks in advance. He has an iPhone.

Maybe it would be easier for you to download WhatsApp then just send him a link?

I was going to say that too. I use it with elderly Aunt in Australia.

About half the messages I get on Messenger seem to be from hacked Facebook accounts.

WhatsApp’s a much better idea.
