Carers-any tips?

Hi DM is finally coming home after a long stay in hospital followed by 3 weeks respite care in a CH. She will be having 4 carers visits a day, 3 for meals and one to help her prepare for bed.

She has never had carers before so we know nothing about the process. Any tips or hints as to how to make it run smoothly? I take it they only heat up food/ready meals rather than actually cook from scratch? I am going to be there at the first call tomorrow so I can go through everything with the initial carer.

You need to knew how long thru will spend on each visit. No good having a 40 minute reheating meal if they are only there for 30 mins. So probably need chilled rather than frozen meals and a microwave. Also need a key safe and, maybe a dosset box for medication.

Thank you, they are doing 1 hour for breakfast and lunch, 30 mins for tea and bedtime. DH put up a key safe this morning and medication should be delivered in blister packs from the pharmacy.
