Smart phone for elderly parent.

Looking for recommendations for a simple smart phone for my mum. She is early stage dementia, but would still like Facebook and messenger but that is easy to use

DMIL loves her iPhone, hated her Doro. She also loves her iPad. Nice big touch screens on both.

Yeah thought about an iPhone 5, but my daughter says it's very easy to accidently dial out on them, not sure if that's right.

I think an older iphone is easiest to use.

A tablet is probably easier for messaging and Facebook- especially if eyesight is an issue.
