Local Resolution deadlines no longer set nationally
Clinical Commissioning Groups are now able to set their own timescales for individuals to request local resolution - the first stage of appealing an eligibility decision. We urge local decision-makers to set reasonable deadlines - some already only give two weeks.
Six week deadline for Independent Review evidence
From 1 October 2019 a change in procedure cuts the period during which all written evidence to be considered in the review can be submitted. We’re concerned that it will impact families’ ability to prepare thoroughly for this stage of the appeal process.
