Damart

I just wondered if anyone has any advice on whether Damart sizing is very generous or not. I have to buy clothes for an (very) elderly relative who used to be size 14 (1970s 14...) but she has shrunk considerably with age. If sizes are generous, I guess size 12?
She lives 350 miles away so I have to order clothes to arrive whilst I'm visiting, and I'd like to avoid sending things back if possible!
Thanks for any voices of experience.

mum uses Damart

best advice is to ask for waist measurement I reckon. Then give them a call rather than go online, they're good if you want to ask if something comes up big or small.

alternatively, order the 2 most likely sizes and accept that one will be sent back?

Thank you. I'll whip out my measuring tape and go for express delivery. Fingers crossed!

also, if she has shrunk from a 70s size 14, I reckon a Damart 10 will be more likely than 12. Depends what it is and if it needs to be roomy.

She has deep armpits, she says. Whatever those are... The sizing looks awkward, as I can order 10-12, or 14-16 size tops. No simple 12 is on offer. I may start with the 10-12 and see what happens.

You can send any unwanted items back when you are home. Just take a big bag with you. Also read reviews of the items, sometimes there are comments on the sizes e.g. This is true to size.

I would say the clothing is true to size, I used to work there and that was the usual feedback from customers. If you,'re at all unsure order two in different sizes and send the other back.
