How long for NHS continuing care assessment?

Does anyone have any experience of how long it takes for the NHS continuing care assessment to reach its conclusion? The care home sent off the initial questionnaire 2 weeks ago. Are we looking at a wait of a few weeks or a few months?

It varies between CCGs but in my local area there's a guideline of 28 days or less from checklist to assessment (doesn't always happen).

The good news is if the person being assessed is found to be the funding should be backdated to the date of the checklist.

Any other time of year I would expect to hear something in the next week or so but given Christmas is rapidly approaching it may be in the new year now.

I've done CHC assessments on Christmas Eve before though so it's not unheard of.
