EMI/EMD care

My mum has just been diagnosed with moderate-severe dementia, Alzheimer's and vascular. She is currently in residential care and I have been advised to now look for EMI/EMD care as the current home can no longer offer the care she needs.

I am having problems finding homes who even know what these terms mean or what the difference is.

Can anyone advise on the difference please? And where is a good place to get advice on homes in my area that offer both types?
