How many children at your child's school?

DD goes to a high school and there are 1621 pupils, including 6th form.

When I went to school, a grammar school, there were less than 300 in the whole school, including 6th form.

How about your children's schools?

Can anyone beat DD's school?

approx 90 - all girls, aged 4-11y (private primary). There is also a nursery for rising 3s, coed, but don't know figures for that.

I work in a state infant school (YR to Y2) and there are approx 270 children - 3 classes per year group.

Primary School 4-11 71 pupils

110 in primary

1800 at secondary.

school i teach at about 1850 pupils aged from 11-18, ds2's school has 550 4-18!

As a school girl in the 1980's I went from a senior school of 1,800 to a senior school of 500 and then finally to a senior school of a mere 140. I simply wasn't aware of the size of the schools at the time; just that the standard of the facilities available declined with each reduction in numbers!

Just seen this thread-DS school has 2445 pupils on the roll- so can beat OP school! KS3 & 4 are on physically separate sites though.

There's 1400 in DD's school and about the same in mine I think. It just seems like 35,000!

There are 360 in DS1's school at the mo (four-form intake infant school).

However it looks like they will be merging with the junior school next door, which means there will be nearly 900 pupils eventually. For a primary!

Think that's way too big personally.

DD's secondary school currently has just under 2000 kids......

dd's Primary - about 150 - average is about 20 per class from reception up to Y6.

More of an issue has been that it's always been about 75% boys though...

Secondary school will be about 200 per year & she can't wait!
