NLCS and SHHS - Admission of siblings?

My older daughter has been offered a place for 7+ entry next year at NLCS and at South Hampstead High.

Her younger sister is 5 and probably equally bright. We'd like her to go to the same school but have missed the boat for 4+ entry.

Does anyone know how easy or difficult it could be to get her in?

Also, anyone know how tedious the school coach journey is from Swiss Cottage to NLCS?

How do we choose?

it will be vvvv difficult to get a place for a 5 year old at either of those schools. there is no preferential treatment for siblings. how did you manage to miss the boat?

the girls have just started at that age and in the unlikely event that one did leave, there will already be a waiting list of candidates they have already interviewed ready to step in.

your best bet is to wait until she's ready and then put her in for the 7+.

If your daughter has been offered a place at NLCS for 7+ entry she must be very bright! It is a tough one to get into specially at 7+.

I agree with gladders about waiting till 7+ entry for younger one as very rare spaces become available in between entries and there are waiting lists for both schools.

My friends daughter has been using the coach service from Muswell Hill for a few years and never heard anything bad about it and. I imagine from Swiss Cottage would not be too bad because you're going against traffic each journey.
