why was my son not offered classical civilisation or latin then

I LOVED Latin and did it to A level. honestly, I learnt more about unnatural sexual practices (goat shagging for one) from my study of the great works of classical literature than I did from furtive reading of Cosmo on the bus

I did a thing called CCP at my grammar in 1974 (!). I think it was 'Cambridge Combined Project' or the like and basically, it was Classics, and you did that if you were sufficiently shite at French in the 1st form you didn't get the choice of a 2nd language, ie German or Latin!

It was great, I really enjoyed it!

My son seems to have had quite a lot of fruity text to translate - I know having helped him revise for his GCSEs.
But then I am every seeking the sly smut in life...

Grunge - couldn't you have just had a Gap year in Australia?? (oh ang on that's sheep).

Went on a Secondary Skool (gramma) Open day with DD1 last term. He's still in the horto. And Melissa is still in the kitchen with Grumio.
