11plus in Essex - is there NON VR?

Can someone with the experience tell me whether the 11+ paper in essex has a non-verbal reasoning component? Have mixed messages from friends in different parts of the County - am wondering if it varies from area to area? (Surely not )

Have a look at the 11+ forum, it has a section just for Essex. It looks like there is an English, A maths and a VR paper but no NVR one.

If you are talking about the 11+ run by the CSSE then there is no Non-VR. They have VR, English and Maths. Google CSSE to find their website. Hope that helps.

Me and my daughter used this 11 plus exam practice

She felt really confident afterwards, but we haven't received the results yet.

MrsBartlet is right about CSSE.
As far as I know the only Essex schools that do things differently are the Redbridge schools i.e. Ilford County High School for Boys and Woodford County High School for Girls. These two schools have only 2 exams which are VR and non-VR
