Daughters having to wear school tights in warm weather

In the recent hot weather I really felt for my 2 daughters who attend a school with a very strict inflexible school uniform policy.Black tights (60-70 denier!) must be worn throughout the school year regardless of how hot it is.Whilst the girls can remove their blazers if it is very warm, there is no permission to wear ankle socks and go bare legged.Tights must be worn.I feel it is unreasonable but dont want to challenge the school.

ooh, I've never met the Tights Troll before. It's a bit of a sad way to get your jollies, really. Poor bastard.

There was a tights thread a few months ago where someone linked to an online shop for stockings/tights. In my innocence I had a look and though it sold mainstream tights, it also had a very odd discussion forum entirely populated by men discussing their wives tights/stockings (or so they wrote).

they've appeared in japanese versions as well! maybe it's international LoL!

I've not seen the tights troll before. Isn't there also a poster who keeps posting about plimsoles?

LittleIda · 23/07/2017 21:05

I'm sure I've seen an actual news story about a school that made girls wear tights not socks to school.
I've come across the plimsoll troll, the gym knickers/girls being made to do PE in underwear troll and the girls not being allowed to go to the loo in lesson time and wetting themselves trolls, but not the tights troll before!

Clearly a zombie tights troll it's a post from 2009.

Heebejeebees · 25/07/2017 03:05

Its clearly not a zombie troll thread - OP has posted other topics before.

However, if I was sending my kids to school. I would not abide by a rule to send them in tights or blazers or other hot weather issue clothing. Sounds like they are private schooled. Given you may pay, don't moan on mumsnet - pull your kids out or moan with your purse.

I was being a bit sardonic about the whole thing given its from 2009. Not troll hunting just pointing out its an old thread
