Any teachers out there who are no longer teaching? What do you do now?

I am a teacher and I have had enough I just don't know what to do now! I worked in a variety of office jobs before I started teaching but none of which I would want a 'career' in. I have two school age children so I can't think of anything that would fit in with school holidays so well. I am creative, friendly, work well with others, have a good degree but I don't know where to start. I just want to earn some money! Please can anyone help, tell me what you are doing, tell me where to go and get started in finding a new career, any ideas will be welcome. Thanks.

Teacher colleagues who have left mainstream teaching have gone into:

-local council - low pay to begin with/worked way up, works 9.30-2.30
-retrained as an accountant (maybe not good in current ec climate though)
-childminder
-EWO
-PA for music executive
-RAC repairman!
-outreach teaching
-hairdressing
and there must be more, will keep thinking

I've dallied with the idea of setting up a local community newspaper, something my area really lacks.

Why not try an online test and see if that gives you any pointers.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I definitely need to think things over. It's a massive decision to leave my career but it is making me so unhappy I think it is time. Right, off to bed. Am looking zombified ATM, can scare children at a single haggard glance (it has it's uses...)
