APPEAL ON THURS (TODAY!)! Should I mention this? Your opinion please!

I have an appeal to attend today (Thurs) in order to get my YD into the local school. I have many reasons to appeal regarding my daughter's circumstances but I am wondering if I should also mention my own situation.

To cut a very long story short, to lose the appeal would not only mean a host of problems for my child, it would also have a detrimental effect on an offer I have had which would give me the chance for my own future. The reasons I have for my daughter attending the school are, I feel, relevent, sensible and valid - and essential!

Obviously the points about my child are the most important and valid but I wondered if I should also mention the effect that losing the appeal would have upon me - or would it look purely selfish?

Opinions welcome and gratefully received - thank you.

I know others may disagree. (They do that on Mumsnet)But on my sons application for primary school I have put down the fact that both parents work and Granny has to pick up Ds after school and she does not drive. We as a family do not agree with driving our child to school and apparently the Government doesn't like it either. I have not done an appeal but if we are going to appeal I think we will mention these points.

Sorry too late How did it go?

For some odd reason my question has come up twice and Roisin also asked how it went. I saw that thread first so answered there, if you'd like to read it. (In short it was scary and I have some concerns!).

Thank you for asking and I hope that you might like to give me your opinions on my experiences. Good luck with your own appeal too.
