Am applying for an in house promotion in charge of public image and raising aspirations through the use of display.

Could I briefly pick your brains, what would you like to see on a school website?

Does your school have a particularly good website you could link to.

Really? Am sorry to hear that you've gone, at least under your old name.

BSB is a private international school with a dedicated and recently appointed PR team - however the website has been good for a couple of years and was overhauled recently.

I want it to show more about the content of the syllabus so I can be sure I'm buying the right books etc for use at home, but it is useful for seeing which day is 'chip' day at the canteen. No need to make a packed lunch that day!

flouncerpoppedbackforadvice,

I have no idea if you will ever see this post, but I think its a mistake to attempt too much. I work in a state special secondary school. We are forever trying to do secondary school type things on an absolute shoe string.

Our website isn't great, but I have a friend who works at another special school. He developed his school's website with a free package called Web dwarf. Its really easy to learn and unlike Dreamweaver you can learn to use the package in an afternoon without any training.

webdwarf

If you are intersted I can send you a link to my friend's website.

I have my spies reallytired so knew to come back for your post

That would be great really tired. Tbh the wesbite is a small part of what changes I would like to see but it was the part that I felt the least inspired about.

That link would be great.

This is my friend's website. He claims he managed to knock it up in an afternoon. I find it hard to believe as it looks so detailed.

www.watlingview.herts.sch.uk/

It is an SLD secondary school which takes children from 3 to 18.

Its not as fancy as the school in Brussels, but my friend did this on an extremely low budget.

You do get a real feel of what kind of place it it from that website REallytired.

If any plans can be shown to be effective and have an impact there would be money available.
