Has anyone sent one child private and another state?

If so what were your reasons? and do you regret it or think it was the best thing to do?

I went to a state comp whilst my slightly older 'clever' brother went to a well-known private school. I always hated my school and resented what looked to me like favouritism and we were both adults before I realised he had been miserable and bullied whilst at his school. Try to do the same for both of them. I'm convinced my own decision to send my dd to a private prep school is founded in my own childhood envy.....Expensive!
