Jason didn't occur in a vacuum and their were a host of enablers that allowed this unfortunate man to rise far far above his competence levels.

Do we now need to see how far there has been a corruption of academia especially in the humanities due to a culture of viewing all our institutions as symptoms of colonial oppression? How deep is the rot?

That they will give any random dodgy con man a big job as long as he ticks as many ‘protected characteristics’ boxes as possible.

And furthermore they will be in denial of their own deep-seated racism because they evidently don’t believe that black people are capable of becoming Cambridge professors on merit, so they need special treatment from patronising guilt-ridden white liberal academics.
