How do you actually improve your LNAT score instead of just doing more questions?

I’ve started preparing for the LNAT, but I’m finding it difficult to tell whether I’m genuinely improving or just becoming familiar with practice questions.

My scores keep changing quite a lot between tests, and I often narrow the answers down to two options before choosing the wrong one. Timing is also becoming an issue because I spend too long rereading passages and second-guessing myself.

For people who improved significantly, what made the biggest difference? Was it reviewing every mistake, learning specific techniques for each question type, using a structured course or getting feedback from someone?

I’m also unsure how to practise the essay section properly when it’s difficult to judge your own arguments and structure. Any advice on what worked for you would be appreciated.
