Dd1 is at the end of year 9 and has lost faith in her current school. There's been an awful lot of staff churn and there seems to be a question mark over it's longevity. Quite a few are leaving including her best friends, and she's asked me to look for other schools. There don't seem to be many places available that she'd consider an upgrade on where she is but she may be able to get a place at city of London Shoreditch Park. It's a bit off my radar and I don't know anything about it other than what I've read online but the journey isn't too bad from us and it's Ofsted outstanding and has great exam results. Is there a reason it seems less sought after as other schools with similar results have long waiting lists? Grateful for any thoughts.

I didn’t know that school but friends leaving is a London wide thing. It’s amazing how many children come and go in my children’s classes in the course of each year. So that would likely happen in any central London school.

Thanks, that isn't the main reason she's leaving her current school, it's more that her friendships are no longer a compelling reason to stay in a school that we've all lost confidence in. It isn't my general experience though as we have been on the waiting list for many London schools for a year and there's been very little movement. Maybe not quite so central though.
