Help please: Looking for a good state primary school in High Barnet / New Barnet/ East Barnet

I’m a mum planning to move soon to the High Barnet , New Barnet or East Barnet area, and I’m looking for a good state primary school for my son. He will be starting school in September 2026, but I know I need to apply this September (2025).

Private schools are not an option for us, so I’m only looking for strong state (public) primary schools. I’d really appreciate any recommendations from local parents on schools with good reputations, dedicated staff, and a positive environment for children.

I’m also searching for a rental property close to a good school, ideally within the catchment area, so any suggestions on streets, neighbourhoods, or letting agents would be really helpful too.

My DCs went to Foulds in High Barnet. It was a very good school. Christchurch was also very good.

I really appreciate your help with your experience. I’ve heard good things about these schools: Foulds Primary School, Christ Church Primary School, and Whitings Hill Primary School. But I want to be sure based on real experiences from parents. I’m also having trouble finding rental homes near those areas to be within the catchment area, because I’m leaving my current home and moving there just for my son’s school, since I’ve heard that the schools there are very good.
