Hi everyone

I have got a child who will have to change from Charing Cross station to Embankment tube station for getting school in secondary.
How safe (or not safe) is this area in the morning (around 7.30) and in the evening (between 17.00 and 18.30)

Many thanks in advance

Thank you everyone. Especially for all the tips from people whose children have already been through this! (i.e. district line being out action, £10 tucked away). I have shown my husband this thread and he is more on board!

It's safe, but there are various exits and you'll need to do the journey with them a couple of tims to make sure they know where they're going. There are a few homeless people who live near the tube entrance and your children need to be confident about interacting with them too.
