Ds2 (6) is interested in the movements of the planets. We can't afford a trip to the Planetarium. Do we have to make a complicated model?

MargaretMountford · 20/05/2008 13:38

Do you have a big garden? With a clothes line post? Am thinking football on post, strings...

Oraries, MM? (Not sure of spelling)
DS has this one

Buda · 20/05/2008 13:40

You could do it with people! DS did it as a topic last term and the class did an assembly on it (DS was Uranus - so pround!! ).

Don't ask me what goes where though!

MargaretMountford · 20/05/2008 13:40

There is a big space section at the Science Museum, which is free. They must have some kind of solar system model there. I know they have an antique Orary in the 18th C science gallery as well.

If you are in London, the Observatory at Greenwich has been splendidly refurbished and is completely free.

TooTicky · 20/05/2008 13:58

Oh really? Perhaps we will have to try and do London then. I do have a couple of handily-placed relatives....
