i need to change the name on my gcse certificate?

Hi, I have two names and two surnames, but my GCSE certificate only shows my two names and only one of my surnames. Do I have to change it so that my full name appears or is it okay if I leave it like that?

No, you don't have to change it. I have my name in the wrong order on my GCSE certificates. School asked me what I name I wanted on them and idiotic 15 year old me swapped my first names around. It's never been an issue.

School knew my actual name, so why they asked me I've no idea!

Since uni, nobody has ever asked to see my GCSE certificates ever, no you don’t need to do this or even worry about it.

Nobody has ever asked to see mine and as a result I have made it through life with many more qualifications than I actually have

Maybe contact the exam boards and see if it's possible, I have had to show certificates for every job I have applied for. Also for funding for a apprenticeship, on top of that I had to show marriage certificate to show name change and prove GCSEs were mine.

Teaching jobs require you to show your gcse certificates. It's annoying. As long as you have proof they are indeed your certificates, then it won't matter. I think I had to provide my marriage certificate.

Do they show your name at the time you took the exams?
The exam boards won’t change them, why on earth do you think they would?

Is a recently issued certificate? Did they make an error?
