expectations on starting (what should they be able to do)

homework

wrap-around care if applicable

home-school communication

lunches?

  • otherwise it should be more listening than asking. Are the DC happy and confident and do they seem to like the teachers and vice versa?

How do they cover PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time? Some schools use the same person to cover the time when the teacher does her PPA (couple of hours or so a week), some just use random supply teachers or whoever they can free up amongst other staff. I prefer the consistency of the same person covering each week.
