Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools - Dr Challoner's High School v/s Chesham Grammar

Dear All, if DD passes Bucks 11+ entrance exams in 2025 then one of these two schools are on our choice of schools but we have no idea about which one to select nor do we know many people whose children go to these schools as we are yet to move into the area and thus a big move and decision at hands for us.
Which one is better Dr Challoner's or Chesham Grammar is what we are unable to gauge and unfortunately have not been able to attend the open day at Chesham Grammar school.
Any personal first hand experiences and genuine feedback will be thoroughly appreciated as this is all quite new for us and we are trying to land at an informed decision.

@NewtoUKschools There was a thread about these schools fairly recently I think.

I am not sure you know how the Bucks system works. You must live in catchment for these schools. You would need to be resident (your primary residence) by 1 April 2025 for DCHS and 1 Sept 2025 for CGS. So when are you moving? You cannot just rent in catchment and maintain your home elsewhere.

I assume you know CGS is co-ed and DCGS is girls. That’s how most people choose! What suits DD best? I would look at curriculum, arts and sports and the ethos of a girls school is obviously different. You can put both schools down of course but you need to move fairly quickly now. Both are exceptional schools but when moving to Bucks you must look at secondary modern catchments as well as grammars. The Amersham School has a pretty small catchment. So what would your back up school be?
