Is anyone on the waiting list for MHCHS

One of my DC tried for it in 2006/7 (selective tests : we are way out of catchment) In April last year I heard of at least 2 families who were holding on to a place for a while before opting for private in the end and thereby belatedly releasing their places, so don't give up all hope just yet! Mine was accepted by a school higher on their preference list, but I phoned up MHCHS out of curiosity after March1st , just to find out how they'd done. I was given exact rankings( sufficient to get places on 2 different counts in our case, which in effect LBB turned down on our behalf) .Of course I dont know where on the lists the people who actualy ended up taking up places were...Sorry,not v.helpful,Lupy, but I can see you were angling for replies! Good luck, it all seems to work out O.K in the end.
