state secondary schools in Wells, Glastonbury and Street

Can anyone tell me what they're like? We are close to moving to a village in the area with a primary we really liked when we had a look around.

It seems most kids from there feed into St Dunstans in Glastonbury from the primary. It looks small for a high school (500 kids) and Glastonbury town seems a bit druggy, I'm not sure on the vibe.

I know there is a good secondary in Wells but think we'd be just out of catchment so might have to move again for that. Not sure what secondary in Street is like or the 6th form there.

Can anyone share any insights please?
TIA

You’ve got Crispin in Street which is an 11-16. Standard reputation, nothing special but not horrific either. It’s next to Strode College which is the the main provider of post 16 education for the area. St Dunstan’s is small but has a good reputation locally. Blue School in Wells is well regarded and 11-18 so can stay on and do A-levels. Depending on where your village is Kings of Wessex in cheddar is similar.

Would you be in catchment for Sexeys in Bruton or Chew Valley school? I can’t comment on the schools, but Glasto is very druggy and neither glasto or street are places I’d want to live.
