What dates are your February half term 2025 and where in the county are you?

We’re looking ahead for holidays next year.

In our part of Wales we’re 24-28 February which seems quite late, I’m hoping most of the uk is a week earlier 🤞🏻

In london 17-21 Feb 2025 but this year we are 1 week before schools in NE England and I can see they are 24-28 Feb 2025. I think it's because Easter is incredibly late in 2025, 20th April, and schools have to work back 2 weeks from then for start of Easter holidays and then before that half term.

Thanks, I’ll look a bit more closely into what schools in the NE are doing but so far it looks as if we are the week after a big chunk of the uk which is great news for booking a holiday!

Elsewhere in Wales and same dates as you. Christmas holiday is shifting forward

North east February half terms are usually a bit of a jumble, Gateshead and Newcastle often have different weeks, this year also the Catholic schools in Co Durham have had a different week to the local authority one.

Summary: it's often not too busy around the North East at half term!

West Mids - on half term starting now!

Christmas only starts 2 days earlier for us in 2024 than 2023.

Spring term this year is only 50 days which is ridiculously short. The later half term next year evens out the lengths of the terms so is more sensible really.

In my area of Scotland schools are off 10th-14th Feb

Blimey, we’re 2 full weeks after that!
