SWPS / Farnborough Hill / The Marist - Current Views Please!

Hi All,

My DD has been offered places at SWPS, FH and The Marist for Year 7. She is fairly bright.

I have been reading previous years threads on the above schools.

Anyone has any latest/current views on these schools? SWPS is getting a new Head Teacher from Sept 2023, The Marist has been recently bought by Concept Education Group. Not sure about FH. We are planning second visits. too.

We live in Ascot, so the Marist would be the closest, but we are mainly interested in best academic school for her , we don't mind the commute.

Can’t comment on SWPS or The Marist but DD is at FH and we are very happy so far. A definite mixture of abilities from average upwards, but lots of bright girls. We are happy that DD is being stretched academically whilst being in a very supportive, caring atmosphere. Good luck with your decision 😊

Can't say if SWPS has improved. I know many parents have withdrawn and recently heard parents taking legal action for bullying by pupils and some staff whilst at school. Even stories of older girls bringing alcohol and vapes to school to offer younger students. Glad I withdrew quickly, shocking!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!! I was not aware of the issues at SWPS, sounds worrying. We are going for second visits this coming Friday, so the above helps a lot!

Perhaps do a search for SWPS as miuk above seems to disagree with the other posters……

my daughter is at swps and very happy.
good pastoral care, academic but not super pressured.

new head starts in September

I've got friends who use The Marist and are happy. Not sure about FH.

I haven't been impressed with SWPS and on balance wish I'd chosen elsewhere, teachers seem to move on to other schools more than I'd like. Seems unsettled with a new head promised then they quit, now another new one due later this year. There are better schools.

I removed DD from another school due to bullying and she has been at SWPS since. She is very happy, good academic focus, smaller classes than her previous school and a nice bunch of friends.
