Hi all, my family is relocating to UK this summer. My daughter (year 3) has been accepted into St Albans High school for girls, Putney High School GDST and Notting Hill and Ealing High School. We are also waiting for the result from Guildford High School. Since we are relocating, location does not matter, as long as it’s a safe and nice place to live as a family.

I know these schools are fairly academic. I would not want my daughter to be in a hothouse. She is a smart girl, but not always confident about herself, and she likes to learn through play. I would like to choose a school that can keep her interest in learning, be happy and make friends. Since I am from abroad and unfamiliar with the schools, any comment about the above 4 schools would be highly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance.

Honestly, they're probably all much of a muchness! I would decide if you want to live in London or out of London first, then decide between West or South West London or Guildford/St Albans! All nice places to live!

@woohooho thank you so much for your reply! I don't drive but my husband does. It's so hard to decide indeed. Still waiting for Guildford High School's result. Wonder if GHS helps girls to build their confidence? Or is it a school that gives excessive stress?

The schools are all the same, you are over thinking their influence on your dc. If you don't drive don't go for Guildford, how are you going to get her to clubs/parties/play dates otherwise? Go for a London school instead.
