French Language School Charged for Bank Holiday, But No Lessons

DD just got back from a language course in France, and it turns out she only got four days of lessons, when they charged us for five. It's in the terms and conditions that there is no refund for lessons missed due to a bank holiday. Does anyone know if this can be legal?

Did they care for her in the Bank Holiday ...ie organise the day ?

No - they didn't provide anything at all. The invoice states 30 hours of lessons in the week, but she only got 24. Looking around on the web, some language schools offer refunds and some don't, but it looks like charging for a service and then not providing it to me.
