My DTDs have just brought home there new reading book from school.....

oh yes I was so pleased when dd1 left them behind last year

she went onto fantastic mr fox....phew

I am preparing for a comeback as I know they havn't reached the end of the whole series (they have just done level 8 I think)....I am just greatful for a break

We have a big mix of books - they are all bloody dull though

DTDs (Darling Twin Daughters) have brougt home some Ginn books out of the 'free reading box' - which seems to contain various historic reading schemes. Mr Yellow, Mr Blue, living in a yellow house on a hill or whatever they are have to be he worst though....

I actually quite like the Ginn ones as I recognise some of the books from my own school days, Ben the horse & co...

never encountered ORT (yet) - DS1 has been going through the "Storyworld" series....although they have different schemes they use for different children - so DS2 may end up on ORT.....is it really that bad???

don't..... you're all scaring me. Haven't had to deal with Biff, Chip and Kipper for a while. The DTs start school in September.... aaarrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

we have something out of the ark atm, lots of chapters about Mr Pig and his son, Sonny. Each chapter is a short story and reasonably interesting, but the language used take alot of explaining. It is probably older than me (not just the story, this actual book!).
