Independant schools in north east -- Newcastle Prep or Dame Allan's?

Currently debating between these two for DS. Our plan is to find a private primary and review later for secondary.

Newcastle Prep will be easier to get to but I have heard the building is quite small and doesn't have much in terms of outdoor space or facilities. I haven't had a chance to look around yet.

Which year group are you looking for?

I’d recommend going to view both and getting a feel for them. We viewed a school I was really keen on and it just wasn’t ‘right’.

Outdoor space at NPS is mainly off site, and the children are escorted to and fro. DAJS has a lot of space with an all weather pitch, field and forest area.

If you’re in central Newcastle I’d also suggest looking at local state primaries, some are very good, and then investing your money in secondary education.
