Recommendations for 'Easy' rock guitar music for DS1 (8)?

DS1 is really getting into his guitar, but isn't particularly enamoured by the tunes in his school guitar book (mostly of the 'House of the Rising Sun' variety...)

I remember someone on MN recommending some 'rock school' music books or something which her DH had helped to write, but HELP - I now can't find the thread...

Can anyone remember, or make any other recommendations?

Yep, if he can play chords, tell him to just figure out which bands he likes and google 'chords and go from there. That's how us proper musos do it

Rock school is fab! The grade books come with cds to play along and they can do exams too. THey use TAB have chords and have the proper music notation too. Look at www.musicroom.com Great on line music shop with loads of rock school stuff. Also try www.ultimate-guitar.com/ brill site with lots of guitar music in TAB and chord form.
