I have a poem on the wall of my classroom in th Uk which I was given by mil and which I love. I'm overseas and want to give to dd's teacher as an end of term present because she is a cow would benefit from reading it.
I can't remember it properly but it goes like this
a child who learns with love ..
a child who learns with respect..

I've found something that resembles it, but is longer and less succint than I remember. Can anyone help me please?
I'm off to bed now, so don't think I am rude if I don't reply.. but thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to help.

Is this it?

If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.

If a child lives with fear,
he learns to be apprehensive.

If a child lives with pity,
he learns to feel sorry for himself.

If a child lives with jealousy,
he learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns to be self-confident.

If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.

If a child lives with praise,
he learns to be appreciative.

If a child lives with acceptance,
he learns to love.

If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.

If a child lives with recognition,
he learns to have a goal.

If a child lives with fairness,
he learns what justice is.

If a child lives with honesty,
he learns what truth is.

If a child lives with sincerity,
he learns to have faith in himself and
those around him.

If a child lives with love,
he learns that the world is
a wonderful place to live in.

Seeker- I think it is, but I have this memory that my version was shorter and more about learning.. but perhaps I have just had too much sun and lattes..
