It looks like everyone has the same idea at the moment.

DD2 will be going back in trainers as she's outgrown her shoes and we can't get any new ones fitted! Plus DS's hair is something rather special.

Its going to be a sight isn't it!! My dd insists she can still wear her skirt. No way can she, its FAR too short!!

IME buying uniform at a time other than June-August is always a hit and miss affair! I understand why it's hard to find things if your school uniform is particularly niche, but age 12 grey school skirts are unlikely to go out of favour any time soon, so why don't the shops have stocks of them?

Haha no, DD is tall for 6 but she's not as tal as that 😂

I'm ok for skirts as ours have to wear particular style from the uniform shop and I bought next size up when they did a discount. As for all other aspects of uniform, shoes and PE kit, I'd better get dd to try them on

I havent tried on their school shoes but the trainers fit.
It may be a mistake...
Really could do with logo sweater or cardigan, but im not going in the shop.
Luckily my eldest is only now a few cm above average for age so 133cm and size of 9yo at 8 and 3/4 typically the first time dc is above average slightly.
However it is worth noting generally that extra sugar (mine may have been having extra snacks) will make them grow but probably wont increase end height.
Or maybe lot have been out walking and cycling and that has helped

I ordered grey 11-12 skirts from M&S last week. They seemed to have plenty of stock. (DD1 needed new skirts and polo shirts - she’s shot up over the past few weeks.)
