St Andrew's or Bedes - East Sussex (also Bedes senior or Eastbourne College)

Hi, looking for opinions please on the above.

Have two DC - both very academic, one super sporty and the other more creative/arty.
We like both. Have been to both open days (pre covid!), have to say Bedes had the wow factor, but st Andrew's has seemed more 'polished' in every other aspect and seems to be investing more as well as the new sports facilities.
We would like DCs to continue onto the senior schools too - opinions of those please? They will not be boarding. Many thanks

I have a child at Bede's senior and I think it is really excellent. The teaching and pastoral care are far better than they were at my child's previous (highly selective and academic) school - perhaps because of their broader intake. They are getting results out of my child without piling on the pressure. I also know children there who are far less academic than mine (including some with SEN) who are happy and succeeding. My younger child will be going to the prep next year.
Can't comment on St Andrew's/ EC.

I (newly) have a child at Bede's Prep. I am so impressed. It's such a nice school. My son could barely do any handwriting when he left the primary he was attending at Christmas. And now he has developed so much and all without tears.
The children are happy. The teachers responsive and know where to stretch them. The headmaster is attentive. The lockdown provision is very good.
