Please have a look at the below link and sign the petition.

The petition has been set up on the Downing Street website .

The Governemnt has propsed that schools should lose funding equivalent to 5% of any surplus balance they they hold at the end of the finnacial year.

This will be done whether or not the balance was held as a reserve.

Schools who are prudent and plan ahead will be penalised whilst school who overspend may be rewarded by having some of the clawbackpassed onto them in their funnding as it will be up to each Local Authority to determine how this clawback will be reallocated.

So basiaclly if your school is holding a reserve of money to replace eequipment as it gets older then they will be penalised.

have a look and bring it to the attention of your school, Governers , PTA , friends and family.

This is such an appalling policy. I've come across various similar things where schools/colleges are being penalised for being prudent. It's bonkers!

I've signed up.
