School sports and fixtures this autumn?

Does anyone know what the expectation is wrt primary school sports and inter-school sports fixtures this autumn given COVID?
Our kids have played in cricket matches over the summer holidays against other clubs and our son is attending football training in a group of 12 on a weekly basis out of school. The hockey club has started training, the gymnastics club is starting in September.

So will it be the 'same' at school? All the 'normal' sports and fixtures or something different? Has anyone been told for their school?

It depends on the sport - cricket is a really low risk sport from the Covid pov. Others less so, but schools and clubs are trying to get at least training underway, and matches will follow as each sport's governing body approves it (eg the netball roadmap)

We've been told nothing until spring next year.

Cricket then hockey this term. Maybe rugby next. No matches - just within years groups at school. (This is for one prep and one senior boarding school. 2x boys)

Primary: normal training, but no fixtures this term. We are going to do tennis first half of autumn term as they missed out.

Local secondary are playing cricket until half term, then swapping to rugby.

One secondary- training etc as normal but no fixtures this term - GDST rules.
Other- yet to confirm but hoping to do some form of rugby and hockey. Not sure about fixtures.

In our LA there won’t be any sporting events in the Autumn Term at all, it will be reviewed in Spring

AvoidingRealHumans · 22/08/2020 10:35

Our school is doing all of the events virtually so they're done on school premises and results sent in electronically onto a table of results.
County team games aren't happening but it will be reviewed at half term
