School not giving details of what children will be doing once back

Hello,

I have been in touch with my child's school this week to find out what they will be doing with the children once they are back next week. They have contacted with generic information about how it'll be organised into groups etc but I wanted to find out a bit more of what sorts of activities they will be doing, how the day will run, what equipment will be used etc. I've had a fairly standard reply back to say it is not finalised and that it's an evolving situation, which I understand but no other details will be given until next week. Is it unreasonable to ask what the children will actually be doing?
The reason I asked is so that I can explain to my child how different it'll be and what the changes will be like. He took a long time to settle into Reception class so information of what it will be like would be helpful.

Thanks

They don't want to tell you as then you can't hold them to it!

I'd say expect the worst. And then anything better is a positive.

Personally, I wouldn't send my Reception child as I think the formality of the situation is worse than starting again as a y1.

Most schools will be doing the same tasks as they’ve set online. A bit like they’re doing with key worker dc now.
The teachers are probably still thinking through some logistics. Give them a chance!
