Hello everyone.
A group of parents are trying to organise a Zoom meeting to discuss the proposed widening of admission to school in June.
Meeting date: This Thursday, 7:30 - 8:30. Please contact me via dms for more details.
There is a lot to discuss - and opportunities for talking about the issues are in scant supply at the moment: this is an opportunity.
Some issues:
- The idea of 're-opening' whilst the BMA are urging caution
- The NEU's '5 tests' for safety: they are pretty basic, what happens if they're not met?
- What sort of educational provision is going to be offered, for example, 'social distancing' and early years provision?
So, there is lots to discuss.
To my knowledge, this is not a front for any particular group. Reaching out to parents is incredibly hard right now - organisation seems to have shrunk to the size of the contact list in your phone and accessing social media platforms to host 'meetings', let alone reaching out to people to ask if they'd like to come along, is hard, hard, hard.
Hence posting here.
So, if you would like to meet up and talk about this, please contact me via dms.
